Why support children in foster care?
203,770 children under 18 entered foster care in the United States in 2021, 29% of whom are aged 1-5.
Black, American Indian and Alaska Native children continue to be overrepresented among those entering foster care.
Over a third of foster children and youth experience more than two placements each year, meaning their living arrangements change at least three times a year.
My Stuff Bags Foundation
My Stuff Bags is an amazing organization that works alongside many child welfare agencies in almost every state.
They provide duffel bags full of items for children who are placed into foster care emergently, often with nothing at all.
Your donation will allow us to purchase books for these children to call their own.
What will the children receive?
Younger children will receive Cuddle Bear sets, which come with a book and teddy bear plush. This soothing story is about unconditional love and comfort, perfect for children going through a traumatic time.
Additional books provided will include a variety of read-aloud stories or age-appropriate board books for babies through children in early elementary levels. Older kids will receive chapter books or one of many activity books.
